*Important Notices*

• PVT serves the C&D landfill needs of the City & County of Honolulu, which is comprised of the entire island of Oahu, Hawaii. We do not accept waste from other counties or outer Hawaiian Islands.
• Reminder: The use of asbestos-marked bags for disposal of non-asbestos material is strictly prohibited.
• Effective immediately, only passengers who are directly assisting with the load are permitted in trucks entering to dump. Non-working/non-assisting passengers are not allowed.

• Please see our updated Policies & Procedures. It is each user's responsibility to screen, examine, and inspect all of your loads to verify that no load contains any prohibited materials.
• Our new request for clearance number form is now live, please use this form going forward, older versions will not be accepted. 
• 2026 Holiday Schedule now available!
• Effective June 1, 2025 PVT will no longer be accepting any Boats, Jet skis, or any other form of watercraft for disposal.
• Please remind your drivers and/or haulers that it is important for them to be courteous and considerate while driving their routes; Particularly on the landfill and through neighborhoods such as Nanakuli.
  • • All vehicles must be in compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Transportation standards.
    • PVT Land Company requires drivers and their assistants to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with OSHA guidelines when exiting their vehicle for any reason while on landfill areas. PPE Consists of:
      • Hard hat
      • Safety reflective vest or safety reflective shirt
      • Covered shoes
      • Long pants that do not have any rips or holes.
      • No shorts of any kind may be worn on landfill areas, and a LONG/QUARTER sleeved shirt must be worn at all times. Tank tops are unacceptable. 

• When scaling in, Drivers are NOT to leave the scale until the scale house operator informs them
that they are clear.
• Drivers experiencing malfunctions with their trucks should notify PVT staff immediately.
• Do NOT repair any vehicles on PVT property. Vehicles experiencing malfunctions must be
towed off-site to undergo any repairs.
• Do NOT speed or drive recklessly. Drivers must never exceed the speed limit of 15mph while on
PVT property.
• Do NOT use cell phones on landfill areas. If for any reason a call needs to be made, the driver is
to come down to the office where staff will gladly assist.
• Do NOT exceed the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle. PVT will turn away all vehicles
exceeding their GVW.
• Do NOT overtake or cut in line on the landfill.
• Cover all loads properly. Do NOT un-tarp before reaching the designated un-tarping area of the
landfill. Premature un-tarping may result in debris flying out of the load and littering the
surrounding community.
• Secure all bin/trailer doors and gates before entering and exiting landfill.
• Do NOT park on the shoulder of Lualualei Naval Road at any time.
• Do NOT “Jake break” on Lualualei Naval Road.
• STOP before exiting on to Lualualei Naval Road.

REMINDER!

Beginning March 1, 2026, Any trucks not in compliance with applicable State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements will be DENIED ENTRY to our facility. 

While all legal requirements must be followed while traveling on state roadways, the items most critical to our operations are:

1. Window Tint Requirements
2. Company name displayed on the outside of the vehicle
3. GVW/GVWR markings
4. Proper license plate mounting and visibility.
