• When scaling in, Drivers are NOT to leave the scale until the scale house operator informs them
that they are clear.
• Drivers experiencing malfunctions with their trucks should notify PVT staff immediately.
• Do NOT repair any vehicles on PVT property. Vehicles experiencing malfunctions must be
towed off-site to undergo any repairs.
• Do NOT speed or drive recklessly. Drivers must never exceed the speed limit of 15mph while on
PVT property.
• Do NOT use cell phones on landfill areas. If for any reason a call needs to be made, the driver is
to come down to the office where staff will gladly assist.
• Do NOT exceed the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle. PVT will turn away all vehicles
exceeding their GVW.
• Do NOT overtake or cut in line on the landfill.
• Cover all loads properly. Do NOT un-tarp before reaching the designated un-tarping area of the
landfill. Premature un-tarping may result in debris flying out of the load and littering the
surrounding community.
• Secure all bin/trailer doors and gates before entering and exiting landfill.
• Do NOT park on the shoulder of Lualualei Naval Road at any time.
• Do NOT “Jake break” on Lualualei Naval Road.
• STOP before exiting on to Lualualei Naval Road.

Beginning March 1, 2026, Any trucks not in compliance with applicable State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements will be DENIED ENTRY to our facility.
